Well the Buffalo are equestria’s native Americans so they seem the best fit. The yaks are more like the barbarians of medieval fantasy. In term of a buffalo being too much the Buffalo might hold back a bit so they don’t injure their partner, while yaks just smash, and when they smash, they **SMASH**. Plus it’s kind of hard to imagine a brutal yak being a John Redcorn Standin, considering how calmish he tends to be(unless you’re moving in on his Nancy)
