Description
Lightning Dust never considered herself a family mare. She had a few flings here and there, but she was never the type to stick with someone, to truly love them, to consider a future together. Then Scootaloo came along. A loud and rambunctious filly with enough bravery to make up for her stunted wings.
Lightning had allowed to filly to become a Washout, mostly to upset Rainbow Dash, but also because she couldn’t say no to the fire in Scootaloo’s eyes, the desire to be something. Scootaloo’s debut stunt was cancelled (extremely last minute) when Lightning Dust had realized she was pushing the filly too far, expecting far too much for a first time. She personally trained her little protegee, making sure everything was moderately safe and tested as Scootaloo slowly got her hooves stable under her, so to speak. It was a year after Scootaloo’s official debut that Lightning Dust realized she had some feelings for the young mare. She shoved the feelings away, refusing to take advantage of the filly who looked up to her.
It was Scootaloo who initiated things. After a few months of awkward flirting and hints that only earth ponies or unicorns would understand (curse those Flirting for Dummies library books that didn’t specify which pony race they were for!), Lightning Dust finally got the hint, and they became more than just stunt partners.
