I mean forced in the legal sense. While I don’t know the artist’s intent, I think the point here is one should use people’s prefered pronouns tho it may not be the exact words presented in the art. Misgendering someone is not illegal, that is you aren’t forced to use a person’s preferred pronouns under the power of the state, it still doesn’t mean you aren’t a huge asshole for misgendering them anyway.
They certainly try.
You can’t force people to use correct pronouns regardless.
