I think that they’re trying to exaggerate the behavior of the pets and make them completely over the top in order to make the humans seem boring by comparison. You know, as in “how can this tween girl handle all of these WACKY animals? Oh, look at her struggling to hide from the store owner that she doesn’t know where the pets are!”
 
The thing is, Blythe is boring. So are her friends. So you don’t really mind when the animals act like they’re on cocaine when they eat sugar or steal a food truck and drive it down the street. At least it’s not Blythe sitting at the lunch table and talking.
 
The problem with the show is that in order to make a human that would be comparable in entertainment to the pets, you’d have to make them non-realistic, which completely goes against the setting.

i don’t go out of my way to watch LPS, in fact i may turn it off if it’s on  
the animal parts are alright, funny even  
but like what the other guy said, that girl and her friends are tragically boring  
stupid dumbass tween bullshit

Because I can’t genuinely enjoy one show over another. I know they’re different kinds of shows, but I’ve never liked the whole “we’ll just draw the outlines of stuff in the background, it looks like the 50s” type of animation. But that’s just me.
 
Oh, and the human characters are completely boring and flat. Did I mention boring? You almost want to get back to the batshit antics of the pets, as nonsensical as they may be, after seeing Blythe’s friends.

uh? i haven‛t see fandom rivalry between FIM and LPS, both sides or like both or don’t care for each other.
