Spike is no similar character as Loki, Thor, or Odin. Not even close. You know the comparisions between characters like Celestia who’s a beautiful, wise princess while Spike being a small, goofy baby-dragon with no magical abilities. In case you’re bringing up about Spike sending letters with his breath, then you have to know that the whole idea was bad. How come Celestia was able to train him that ability even though when Faust said that dragons were mysterious to ponies? And, why him? Wouldn’t it be wiser to let Twilight handle the letters, herself, since she’s a unicorn/alicorn and Celestia’s student?

Yes, Faust said that none of her ideas were meant to be considered canon because she was uncertain that new ones would come across her mind. Yet, I saw some of the fans who are way into the idea of Celestia being the one who raised Spike rather than Twilight and her family. I figured that was because of the complaints about Spike being abused in the show and that he “deserves better.”

Sure, some fans have their own imagined headcanons for the show. But, I honestly think it’d be best if they just sticked with the show’s true headcanon. Because, if there are other fans with different headcanons, they’d end up confused between them.

I haven’t said that the show had to be about ponies only. It had other species, as well. You saw that there were other mammals, like, the ones Fluttershy loved to hang around, for example. Other species in Alvin and the Chipmunks, Smurfs, and Ducktales, the other species you mentioned were mostly background characters with less focus than the main ones, that’s why. But, what was the point of him going around and interfering with the ponies activities besides providing comic relief in various situations? What I truly meant is that dragons are no fitting companions along with ponies.

Dragons are commonly known as big and scary, with the role of destruction and evil intentions, especially in children’s fairy tales. Like, a dragon kidnaps a princess and keeps her inside a castle tower, then a knight comes to the rescue, slays the dragon, and saves the day.

If they’re the same species, yes. But Spike isn’t, and he ain’t no type of fitting character to be a “prince” or a “son” of someone like Celestia.
Think about it. What if every resident in Ponyville or Canterlot (including the Mane Six) helped raised Spike together, would he have more or less than thousands of mommies and daddies? Jeez… that’s just excessive.
Question is, what happened to Spike’s real parents. You wouldn’t believe they just abandoned Spike or died for an unknown reason, yes? I suspected that some fans wanted Spike’s parents dead because they thought it’d be cuter if he got adopted instead. Either way, I don’t see the whole purpose is of even having Spike in the show in the first place since they show has the title “My Little PONY,” and it is focused and based on ponies, after all.
The show had already confirmed that it was Twilight’s parents who took care of him and is a part of Twilight’s family, however, and it’s good enough for me.

Loki isn;t the same species as Thor and Odin, but that didn’t stop him from being both a Prince and a God. Being a fitting character or not is hardly relevant, unless you think Trump was a fitting character as President. (I, myself, do not)

Also, i thought the show had confirmed that Twilight was the one who’d raised him, in Father Knows Beast? One would assume she’d had some help from her parents, but still. Though to be fair, it also confirmed that both her and Spike think of Spike as their little brother, in Sparkle’s Seven, so it’s true that he can’t be considered a Prince in that sense.

But that’s why it’s headcanon. It’s just the way we imagine things to be and the way we’d like them to be. Nothing inherently wrong with that.

Also, nothing wrong with Spike being on the show. It is, indeed, called My Little Pony, but it would be far less interesting if Ponies were the only species. Both Alvin and the Chipmunks and Smurfs has Humans. Duck tales has Dogs. And My Little Pony has not only dragons, but dogs, donkeys, zebras, griffons, sea serpents, goats and the thing that Discord is. Spike is hardly the odd one out and he, with all the rest, make the show the gem that it is.

Spike as a “prince” isn’t fitting for him being a small, goofy, and clumsy baby dragon, either.

Also, “adoption” doesn’t make anyone a “prince.”

None of Lauren’s ideas like “Celestia raising Spike” were meant to be considered canon, ever.

Lauren hasn’t said that “Celestia is Spike’s mother” when she only mentioned Celestia just raising him. Once Twilight grew older, she took over. Twilight’s parents could’ve been the ones who raised him since his birth, as well.

It doesn’t make anyone a “mother/father,” nor having “motherly/fatherly” moments, acts… when she/he is just looking after or raising someone.

Anyone like Celestia, who’s a beautiful and powerful alicorn, doesn’t fit as a “mother” for a small, goofy, and clumsy character like Spike.

“Adoption” isn’t a must-thing. What’s only most important is that you take care of whoever you’re looking after.

It’s stupid and ain’t worth imagining this kind of stuff because it’s just “cute,” nor if it’s all only about Spike himself, at all. Celestia is only USED.

It’s impossible, and no point in having Spike in the show. Lauren wouldn’t say that Spike was “just left on someone’s doorstep,” that his parents “just abandoned him,” that his parents “just died…” Unless it could’ve been that one of the Spike-fans WANTED Spike’s parents dead because they only thought it’d be cuter if he got “adopted” instead.

Indeed. Or he might be Twilight’s adopted son.
…Making him a prince.

Or he might be Candance’s adopted son. Making him a prince.

Dunno, isn’t Twilight sort of her mother/sister/whatever-family-member to him?
