I just hope it still has that same love and attention that G4 got. It seemed to be released at the perfect time for the internet to embrace it, and for the resulting fandom to flourish. I wonder what it would have been like if it premiered today, it having been a full decade later and the internet being such a different place now. FiM took the world by storm and became a phenomenon on its own. I hope they don’t bank on some gimmick or one specific thing, but rather a good balance of humor, character and story. They should learn from the great successes and occasional mistakes with G4.

I don’t mind MLP to never end, although, I think, I understand you. MLP exist since 80s; it never really ended since then – The show only changes with time.  
Apparently, no one wants MLP:FIM to end, and no one said it has to.
 
Also, I don’t understand OP, nor I actually see the point of such images – He only said what possibly may happen in the future, and nothing else. Like how we’re supposed react to this or what we can do about it.

I meant I agree with you in that a show cannot continue forever. It has to end at some point, in order for it to be well remembered. Hopefully that is understandable to you, and makes it clear how I feel the exact same way as you do regarding FiM and its need to have a fitting conclusion.

It’s nice that you think so. But now I don’t understand how do you, as you said, “Feel the exact same way.”
 
I disagree that The Simpsons is “clearly out of good ideas.” (I can’t say much about the Family Guy, since I’m not sure if I have watched that show.) And I disagree that the PL is “the final nail in the coffin.”
 
Even though I haven’t watched the PL (yet), I do have the plenty of reasons to stay positive about the show.

Well, it is different. That’s for sure. It does take getting used to. But I do think it is pretty well written, and it is nice to see the Mane Six of FiM one more time.

Yes, of course. Frankly, I feel the exact same way.  
Also, if a fandom can’t continue to exist after a show that it was built around comes to an end, then it isn’t much of a community.  
I think there will be people that will stick with this community, even if G5 turns out to be a train wreck (which is still yet to be determined since we don’t even have a confirmed trailer for it)

I’d rather have G4 come to it’s end than watching it become one of those series that never ends. You know the ones that is clearly out of good ideas and scenarios (like Family Guy or The Simpsons).  
I feel like Pony Life is the final nail in the coffin.

Not insanity. If Pony Life is any indication, then the word “disappointment” will probably be the right one.

That’s not what I meant when I said: “You literally can “save” our fandom, if you ask me.”

Don’t worry Lyra, maybe I’ll see the new generations, but I will forever remain a fan of the G4 whatever happens! Even if the new generation will exceed my expectations, I will never forget the characters and the Equestria that we loved for 10 years and that saved my life! If this will happens, I will never forgive myself!  
Sincerely, I’m not at all excited about Pony Life or the upcoming G5 at the moment …

It’s more likely a third party will pull a them’s fighting herds when they’re dissatisfied with G5

I have pretty low expectations for it. Especially what has been happening with other media these days. That is my opinion, so don’t be surprised if I post and say more stuff like this. Also, there’s other things besides the G5 thing.

If you guys end up not liking G5, then don’t watch it! Just because the successor of FiM isn’t as good as FiM doesn’t mean it is the end of the world. Frankly, it could be worse than FiM and still be really fun to watch, as Pony Life is for me. And if you don’t like it, please, for crying out loud, don’t push your feelings on those that do like the show! That just makes you look like a bully, which should never be tolerated.
