Meet my top 6 favorite My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic villains!____ Since today is MLP Villains Day on Equestria Daily, I decided to make a little something for the occasion. These are the baddies who I love to hate the most.
At the very center of this are my most favorite of Equestria’s fiends - Grogar and the Storm King! As of now, these two are still competing for number #1 favorite villain, and I think it’s gonna stay that way for a really long time. I explained my reasons why I like Grogar in both my Grogar and Grogar 4 vectors, and why I like the Storm King in my The Storm King vector. I did make a pic featuring these two together, and with the reasons why they pretty much share the spot - Grogar and The Storm King.
Before My Little Pony: The Movie, Lord Tirek dominated that status since his debut in the season 4 finale. I explained my reasons why he became #1 before becoming #2 or #3 in my Lord Tirek Bio. And before him, Discord became my very first favorite MLP:FIM villain, just sometime after I came across the cartoon back in 2012. However, once the Master of Chaos and Disharmony went from fiend to friend, his status shifted to favorite reformed villain, with Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer, and Princess Luna being the top 3 faves. Despite being a minor (one-shot) villain, Mean Twilight Sparkle became another favorite villain of mine, at least a top favorite MLP:FIM villainess. But hey, she’s the real Twilight’s evil clone, so was there any doubt? And then, although King Sombra wasn’t considered one of my top 6 faves, the dark lord of the Crystal Empire grew on me, and after making his final reappearance in the season 9 premiere, he became my sixth favorite baddie.
For this pic I made some small alterations. One is the Storm King wearing a fiendish smile for a change. I’m not sure if it sits well. If it does, I might use that expression. And finally, besides giving Grogar back his Bewitching Bell, I have his eyes glowing red, instead of yellow. Well, let’s just say that this was a headcanon idea I had in mind for one; maybe the real Grogar’s eyes glowed red, while Discord’s disguise glowed yellow. But more importantly, it would at as a sort of homage to the 1st generation of My Little Pony, back when the ruler of Tambelon wore a bell and his eyes were completely red.
