Flashlight Next Gen (Starverse)
Just finished up with my Twilight Sparkle x Flash Sentry next gen kids. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve designed any NextGen children and I hope to design more as I have a lot of MLP Next Gen characters.

These guys are actually the children of Pony Twilight Sparkle and Equestria Girls Human Flash Sentry who was turned into a pony when he came to Ponyville through the mirror after he esentially ran away from home to get away from his brute of a father. (His father actually means well but finds it difficult to show any other emotion aside from anger or being stoic as he is a soldier himself and has had to deal with a lot in his lifetime. Unfortunately, his abrasive personality caused a rift between him and his son, Flash Sentry, so much so that one day Flash decided he had enough and ran off to be with Twilight in Ponyville, though he definitely got a lot more than he bargained for. Flash’s father has been looking for him ever since his disappearance.) Also don’t worry the Crystal Empire Flash Sentry gets a happy ending and settles down with a nice mare. 😊)

From left to right:

Ourania Andromeda Sparkle- the crown princess and future Princess of Friendship. She has been trained all her life for the day she would become a Princess. Though she enjoys the life of being a royal, she secretly longs for a normal life and sometimes dreams of running away to the countryside where she can be away from the prying and judgemental eyes of her future subjects. However, she know this would break everyone’s hearts and so keeps these thoughts to herself. She only dares to share this information with her close cousin Flurry Heart. Ourania is for the most part confident, very good with keeping a level head, and does well with politics. She is much more comfortable in her role of being a Princess than her mother ever was due to her birth and training. Ourania was actually named after Princess Celestia who is also one of her godmothers. Flash and the other Mane Six like to joke that Ourania is secretly Twilight’s and Celestia’s daughter, much to Twilight’s imense embarrassment.

Rigel Nicodemus Sparkle- Second in line to the throne of Friendship. Looks calm but is just good at hiding his emotions. He cracks under immense pressure though and would not do well if he was in the same position as Ourania. (He actually gets that chance but more on that later.) Is secretly anxious about everything though he tries to act like he doesn’ t care about any one’s opinions but his own. Because of this, he can come off as rather snooty and condescending, but honestly he’s just so socially anxious he prefers the company and the comfort of the books in his mother’s library than to the presence of another pony. He is also rather jealous of his older sister and all the admiration she gets, but at the end of the day he would take a spell to the face for her. He is the older twin to Glistering Shield.

Glistering Vega Shield Sparkle though normally goes by Glistering Shield- Is named after her Uncle, Shining Armor. Happy and confident, she is really the only one not bothered by her status as a royal. As third in line she doesnt see herself gaining the throne anytime soon and quite frankly doesn’t really care about becoming a princess. Instead, she believes her destiny lies elsewhere. She ends up joining the Wonderbolts when she is of age and excels very well at her duties. Third only to Wonderbolt legend and mentor, Rainbow Dash. She is the younger twin to Rigel.

Illuminia Dusk Blaze or just Dusk Blaze or Dusky for short- the fourth and last foal of Twilight and Flash. Because she is just an Earth pony in a family of gifted ponies, she was treated like a porcelain doll and sheltered for most of her life due to an overprotective Twilight Sparkle. Dusk feels she has a lot to make up for given that her other siblings have magical abilities/the gift of flight so much so that she cones across as rash, reckless, and even an adrenaline junkie as she’ll launch herself headfirst into danger. She is extremely jealous of her siblings and she tries to spend as much time away from them as possible when she is older so she doesn’t feel inferior to them. She joins the Equestrian military in hopes of becoming a strong pony and even became a student to the reformed Tempest Shadow.
