No, Chrysalis was a threat to Equestria. Starlight just wanted to build a safe haven from the cutie mark elitists. Chrysalis actually kidnapped all of Equestria’s most powerful ponies.

The Mane 6 had the right to imprison and prosecute Starlight, not the other way around.

In Equestria it may be, but in the real world, it’s not. How can something be magic if magic doesn’t even exist? If someone in real life told me friendship is magic, I’d think they lost their mind, or maybe it was a five year old girl who cannot tell the difference between fiction and reality, in which case their parents have failed.
 
Of course, Friendship can be two other things: A disease and a weapon. It is a disease as it infects people and the main symptom is being forced to change who you are. It is a weapon because when people work together they are much stronger than a lone wolf (which I have always been, in real life and online).

Starlight imprisoned them because they were a threat to her village. Unlike the other ponies who willingly gave up their cutie marks and chose to live at the village, Twilight and her friends only showed up to solve the “friendship problem” (which was to destroy the village).
