Description

For anybody who’ve been paying attention, you’d know I made an update on the MLP reviews. I’ve been working them since 2017, back when there was only seven seasons, a theatrical film, and the promise of the show never ending. Obviously, some things have changed by then, including my plans for the review. My initial plan was to compile all the reviews into one, including the indivisual seasons, the theatrically released movie, and a surprise bonus review. However, my deadline for said review was to coincide with the show’s tenth anniversary on October 10th, 2020. These plans have fallen through despite my best efforts, though plans are still in motion to eventually finish these freak’n reviews. For now though, my plan is to continue posting pics of Bumper meeting the hooved denizens of Equestria, as well as draw some bonus pics I hadn’t initially sketched for the reviews. In other words, expect Bumper to meet Princess Luna. Each pic will be posted to coincide with a Pony Day from Equestria Daily, so let’s see who Bumper meets today shall we?

Upon my initial watching of the show, I figured Rarity would be my least favorite character, since she only seemed to be the stereotypical girly girl character who talked about fashion all the time. Luckily, this generous, smart, determined, and stylish business mare turned out to be a better character than I had anticipated. As such, it was actually a delight to draw her meet Bumper, especially since I had a pretty fun joke in mind. For those of you who haven’t read my original review of MLP Season 1, one of the scenes depicted on the cover is of Rarity designing a colorful outfit for my friend Volts48 as part of an inside joke between the two of us. Since I elected to cut that scene from the new cover, instead dooming myself to sketch the incredibly difficult to draw Diamond Dogs, I thought it’d be funny to see our resident floating marshmallow rock the top hat and tie instead. Not only does it make for a cute outfit for Bumper (one I am tempted to draw him in again), but I’m hoping it also acts as a nice surprise for my stressed buddy Alec. Hope you enjoy this fabulous picture, darlings!
