Princess Ponies from G1 were quite brats, they would use some lecturing now and then.. :)
Moral of the story: If taking on a new responsibility means dealing with an annoying person with strict rules, use loopholes to go back to your lazy lifestyles. Have fun kids! :D
Actually, I kind of want to see a Death Battle between G1 Princess Ponies and G4 Princess Ponies… Although the alicorns have more experience in battle and would have complete tactical advantage.

G1 had the princess Ponies, G2 had a couple princesses, ladies, and a Queen, and G3 had an entire movie around Wysteria becoming a Princess–it ended with her declaring everyone in Ponyville royalty so they would all stand on equal footing,
