The three things I like in Spectacular were Tombstone in general, Venom’s repeated ragdolling Spidey and Symbiote Spidey Sleep Fighting the Sinister Six.
I think Avengers got canned and rebooted as a lighter show without arcs or anything.
Yeah, Spectacular was cut in too short. It had some great animation. Wasn’t Avengers canned too? Man, there are no good Marvel toons right now.
I liked Spectacular Spider-Man’s style and how they portrayed the villains and such.
I think the 90’s Spiderman had Tombstone as just a lowly criminal, but Spectacular had him as a mob boss.
Though I did spend most of the last two weeks revisiting the ’90s Spider-Man TAS. Never realized that the symbiote arc appeared so early on. Always felt like it took forever to get there as a kid.
Yeah, it had promise of Apocalypse appearing in the next season.
Real shame, lots of good Marvel cartoons got canned. Like Spectacular Spider-Man.
Ultimate is nowhere near as good as Spectacular.
