by the way, the cockpit for the gundam is wrong.
Fair enough and I wouldn’t exactly label SEED units as super robots, borderline or not. The problem lies not with the MS but the pilot themselves. I haven’t seen unicorn so I can’t vouch for it.

Nu Gundam is pretty much the ultimate Universal Century Gundam… top of the line, borderline perfect, all that jazz. I was thinking more of classic ones, up to the ZZ.
Turn A and the units from SEED and Double Zero are pretty much Super Robots wearing a Gundam skin, so they don’t count either. Not sure about Unicorn…

Not the way Nyx is having it fight, no… the reason why Gundams use beam sabers is because their finger joints aren’t very armored (unlike, say, a Guncannon’s), so straight hand-to-hand fights tend to break the fingers off. Of course, G Gundams or mobile armors like the Psycho Gundam are an exception.
