Sunny Skies
Nickname(s): Sunny, Sunshine
Parents: Rainbow Dash, Applejack
Siblings: Evening Harvest (Sister), Dazzle Flash (Sister), Snapdragon (Sister)
Species: Pegasus
Orientation: Cis gay man (He/Him)
Build: Strong
Cutie Mark: Sun peeking out from behind a cloud
Special Talent: Weather control
Occupation: Weather pony, farmhand
Voice Claim: Chris Evans
Personality/Background:
Sunny Skies is the son of Applejack and Rainbow Dash and is Evening Harvest’s younger twin brother. He’s energetic and sporty and enjoys playing hoofball when he’s not working on the fields of Sweet Apple Acres or on the weather team. He’s pretty big for a pegasus; he’s not the fastest flier, but he doesn’t worry too much about that as long as he’s able to get his work done on time. Sunny means well but can be kind of oblivious to other ponies’ feelings, sometimes bringing too much energy to a serious discussion or not reading the room. He can come off as naive and kind of awkward to others because of his happy-go-lucky attitude, but that’s far from the truth - he’s surprisingly smart and aware despite lacking some emotional maturity.
Sunny is closer with his parents than his sister is, partly because he’s got energy to match theirs and partly because he’s more invested in working on the farm than Eve is. Sunny isn’t as close with Eve as you might expect given that they’re twins. Eve tends to be rather gloomy most of the time, and Sunny’s perpetual peppiness doesn’t always jive with that - he doesn’t specifically ignore or avoid her, but he doesn’t really seek out interactions with her either. He’s closer to Dazzle Flash, since their personalities are a lot more similar and she’s willing to roughhouse with him every so often. Sunny has a pretty good relationship with Snapdragon, although she tends to keep him at arm’s length sometimes because his energy can be a bit much. Like Eve, he’s on friendly terms with Jellyfish Jamboree and Ambrosia Apple, as they’re known to help out on the farm from time to time.
