Anyways back to the topic of twilight becoming a alicorn this image does make me wonder. Did Celestia, Luna and Cadance plan on twilight becoming a princess from the get-go? Cause that blackbook they had suggests they planned this well in advance.

Tl:dr; If I was in Twilight’s place I would become a benevolent dictator who chooses people of power by how fanatically they believe in my and make them make things better monetarily and such for the average citizen to appease the general public. Also whenever something screws up put all the blame on my followers and whenever something goes right take all the credit.

Personally I would abuse being a alicorn and my place as royalty to indoctrinate the next generation into extremist nationalism, believing that I was infallible, giving the public they want often to pacify them by doing things like increasing minimum wage and bettering working conditions or other such things making them believe what I was doing was for the people all while stripping away other governmental chamber’s powers and instilling political puppets who do my bidding because they believe my beliefs and follow me fanatically while letting them do the vast majority of governmental work so that when they screwed up I could blame them for the fallout while keeping my hands and my public approval rating clean all while taking credit for anything that does go right.
