Hey, if Discord and Starlight got so much leniency then Cozy gettin a good hard paddling before getting rehabilitated should be more then a fair treatment.
Really, this is a perfect and fitting prelude to the potential second chance that she nevet got.
In response to @Setsugekka, spankings are a crucial tool for development provided it’s done both correctly and sparingly. Too many young parents spank their kids out of anger when it should be done as a corrective action. Some kids don’t need to be spanked as they either don’t get out of line enough to necessitate it or they simply don’t respond to it.
As far as Cozy Glow is concerned, she’s just a poorly implemented villain. They tried to go the Darla Dimple route of villain but didn’t set up any worthwhile character buildup that would show the audience WHY she made the choices she did. Tirek and Chryssi had solid character motive for their actions. Darla Dimple had motive to do what she did as she didn’t want to be upstaged by animals and lose the limelight and fame she coveted. Cozy has nothing but revenge on the brain from a botched coup that amounted to “Friendship is magic and magic is power, ergo friendship is power”. It’s dumb.
