Mulberry tests the strength of the staff, worried that she may accidentally break it. Even though it’s made out of unicorn horn, it’s quite thick, and that alone might give it more durability. She attempts to bend it with her hooves and it doesn’t give way. She then gives it a few light but firm slaps against another nearby unicorn horn. The thumps echo throughout the cave, and it sends a chill down her spine.
 
She then examines the staff. Neither of her tests seemed to have harmed the carved bone in any way however, so it is at the very least sturdy enough not to break too easily.
 
She begins to make her way down the pile of flesh, and she finds the staff is already making itself useful as a walking stick. Her trek back down is uneventful, and she hops off the flesh and makes her way back up to the top of the ladder. She looks down at the oil she’ll light to set the whole thing off.
 
She’ll need a plan on what to do next after she lights it.
