Let me guess, Something something Fluttercord or nothing?

I’ve come across these kind of Discoshy shippers a million times, so it’s somewhat true. But then again, there’s rabid fans of everything. But with this ship, there’s a lot more. I’ve noticed a lot of kids ship it, so I guess that explains it.
 
Worst part is that I used to be one of the rabid fans..

I get what you’re saying, and if you prefer canonical ships, that’s fine. As long as you don’t rain on the parade of people who enjoy non-canonical ships, there’s no problem.

Idk to me it’s just weird to ship characters who are canonically confirmed to be in a relationship with someone else already.

I think you’re missing the point. Lumping all Fluttercord shippers into the ones being “called out” is part of the problem. Plenty of those shippers aren’t. Nobody wants to be the group cast as the Quit Having Fun Guy here.  
What’s more, some unaffiliated passers-by might interpret the comic as part of a mean-spirited exchange, or just be tired of the back-and-forth drama between shippers.
 
So the downvotes don’t really “just prove the point.” Another plausible point it could prove is that sniping comics draw downvotes because it’s drama.

I completely agree with that, I never said I didn’t want people reacting to opinions. All I said is that it proved OP’s point. Fluttercord shippers seem to be mad solely because they got called out on being close-minded here.

Those dislikes are seriously proving the point of OP :/ I don’t like either ship, but I’m totally all for Dislestia shippers and shippers who like fanon ships to have their own fun. I have lots of ships that are not fanon and that I’m not gonna stop shipping anytime soon ❤️️

This is why I made this meme in the first place. You guys can’t let us just enjoy out ship. It’s ether Fluttercord or nothing else

This meme would work better with people watching Pony Life. I don’t think there are many dislestia shippers left, and those who shipped dislestia tend to be more toxic and salty as they usually start the war by making posts on how Discord is too old for Fluttershy, how he will outlive her etc.  
Truth is they never deserved that ship to become canon. Fluttercord was like Cinderella and Dislestia was like her evil sister.

That’s true but that’s not the point. Yes, Discoshy is canon (or near enough), but that’s no reason for people to not enjoy Dilestia or any other ship they find interesting. Shipping is wish fulfillment. Ship anyone you like, regardless of canonical status. And don’t ruin anyone’s fun if they ship a relationship that isn’t canon.

I like the idea of Discord x Celestia as well but honestly with the finale Discord x Fluttershy seems all but canon.

Seriously, Are Take With Discord After He Messy Up In Series Finale And For Thank To Writter Who Ruined Discord Characters

Shipping is really fun and enjoying part of any fandom but he moment you start thinking of them as pure truth and getting annoyed at people who don’t agree then your just being a dick

I know not all the fluttercord shippers are like this but from what I have seen a lot of them attacks any pairing that’s not there. And they are so quick to pull the canon card even though it was never confirmed.
