yup, I get a conversion failed on this specific video.. I think YT messed up something.. oh yeah, it’s still in fragments.. ugh…
 
I mean youtube-dl combines the fragments but for some reason in this specific case I think one of the fragments fails to combine when you ask for video and audio at same time.. kinda a weird glitch really
 
okay, there’s a slight thing you have to do because… okay so you have to download the video and audio separately… buuuut.. it won’t let both the video and audio in the same folder as the name is the same.. so you have to rename either the video or the audio stream different.. you could just like add a random letter somewhere in there… that’s annoying…
 
Then you can use MKVtoolnix so you don’t have to mess with another command line program https://mkvtoolnix.download/ just click and drag both the video and the audio stream into it then click output check the “create webm compliant” box and set save destination and hit start multiplexing

First, download the Windows build (assuming you have Windows) of ffmpeg https://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/  
once downloaded open the folder and move “ffmpeg.exe” into users folder c:/users/[name]  
then download youtube-dl.exe from the site I posted and then click and drag youtube-dl.exe into CMD and type a youtube link and then -F (which will show all the streams) then after you find the stream(s) you want do the same thing but type -f (capitalization matters) and the numbers  
And it’ll attempt to merge them together with ffmpeg… in this specific rare case I THINK it may have failed… if it does I know how to combine them with MKVtoolnix (an easy to use GUI program) and make webm compliant.. but first try that  
To open the command prompt you type in cmd in search bar on Windows and it should pop up

Bruh, I can’t even get the program set up because it requires me to do some sort of permission function that I enable and allow but then it says it has no permission and then everything fails and nothing happens. I worked at it for 3 hours and it just wouldn’t work.
 
Granted I’d love it TO work since it would make it so I don’t have to pay money for large conversions and could likely do conversions of better quality, possibly sub-second edits to make perfectly looping gifs.

so I will say on this specific video it may not have combined them for some reason.. I had to download the video and then download the audio and then combine with MKVtoolnix… but a huge majority of the time it works just fine
 
And it should automatically try it if you have ffmpeg in your user folder… there’s no need to do anything except say you want to download both video and audio

I can’t work ffmpeg to save my life, despite following every single step of the instructions. It all just fails no matter what I do.

It automatically adds it to your user folder.. if you don’t have ffmpeg in the user folder it won’t automatically merge video and audio together

I was trying to rip it as a webm via the tool Clipgrab, but clipgrab is (recently) notorious for screwing up and deciding that it “can’t find” videos at times.
 
I ripped it as an MP4, but that isn’t a webm.
