Technically, when temperature is used as a measure of how hot something is (i.e. average kinetic energy of particles), as opposed to how much heat is transferred from one place to another, you should use the absolute zero as a reference frame, not 0°F. Otherwise, the result would be different for Fahrenheit and Celsius.
 
That means that a drop from 72°F to 57°F only makes the air about 2.82% cooler.
