Actually, Beast Wars and Beast Machines used various elements and facets from the G1 cartoon and comics and it doesn’t mean it could be a direct distant sequel to any G1 media.
Edited
I know
Actually it’s an interquel during g1.
Im sorry what?
Actually, Beast Wars is not canon to the G1 cartoon because is not a sequel to any G1 media including both the cartoon and comics. But, Beast Wars does have some G1 elements and facets. Similar to how My Little Pony G5 is not a direct sequel to G4 but uses some elements and facets from G4.
Well, a least number of Transformers were females because most Transformers were males. And while writing Transformers, Ron Friedman decided if there would be no female Transformers and Transformers would all be genderless. Even when he is writing the Transformers movie, his daughter is a huge fan of Trasnformers which makes him created female Transformers in the season two episode “The Search for Alpha Trion” which introduces female Transformers.
You mean that both of the MLP/Transformers crossovers were in their own continuity/timeline that’s separated from both the Transformers G1 Continuity and the MLP G4 Continuity? We see that the changelings are still loyal to Queen Chrysalis, Spike already has wings, Tempest was defected to the ponies’ side, and the Young Six have already moved to Ponyville.
I know it’s not canon to either of those and even said explicitly it’s not the actual G1 Cartoon continuity.
I said it’s largely BASED on that setting.
Absolutely nothing I said in that post suggested that I was saying it’s canon to anything I was talking about was INFLUENCING the setting.
But this crossover comic series is not canon to the Transformers G1 cartoon or the MLP G4 cartoon.
Darth Prime’s right. And not just them, they’re also lots of female Decepticons as well.
There’s a lot of those now.
Wait. Gauge is a girl. There is another female Autobot in the Transformers franchise?
Her
Well, Gauge didn’t appeared in any movie or TV shows about Transformers. But hopefully, we’ll seem him appear in the War for Cybertron trilogy. Not the video game series from the beginning of the Aligned continuity. The Netflix original series that is a G1 reboot.
As I said, they are “IDW G1”, which combines several different incarnations of G1 together. I mean, Gauge is featured in the Pinkie Pie issue, and Gauge never appeared in the 80s show.
But it’s not the new or old IDW it’s clearly based on the old Cartoon since the issue with Spike hanging out Grimlock in the Ark in the volcano.
I’m not saying it is definitely the cartoon continuity but it clearly is largely based on that.
Because the Transformers characters are G1 characters? These versions are not from the TV show in 1984-1987. They were just characters from the 2019 IDW Continuity. For example, Bumblebee’s alt mode looks completely different than his Volkswagen Beetle mode and Megatron is a tank instead of a Walter P38. You could make an impression to the Transformers characters in G1 whirl reading this MLP/Transformers crossover.
That would be epic.
There was an audio drama, and yes it was very strange
And disturbing as all hell, if you want to read more about it theres a page about it on tfwiki.net
Never read it but I was told it was kind of strange.
yep
