She moves, acts and has powers like an alicorn but it’s like at the last second it was decided that fans would be upset at another alicorn so she was quickly changed to a unicorn.

I still think she’s a unicorn and these are animation errors. But it would actually make sense if she were an alicorn, since they give her such unusual powers.
