1.) Twilight overheard everyone describing what she thought was giving head to their boyfriends/husband.
2.) She then saw they were standing outside a hair brush store and realized that they were rather describing what it was like to brush their hair with brushes held in their mouths.
3.) Twilight then realizes that, being an earth pony, only Maud would hold a brush in her mouth. The others would use magic.
4.) So, Twilight realizes that they probably were talking about giving head in the first place.
