Its also because that Pony Life is an alternate continuity. So some ponies might be different from their FiM counterparts.
Both scenarios involve Rarity going out with a stallion she admired only to find that he was self-absorbed and then she didn’t like him anymore. One was just much shorter than the other one (mostly due to the length of the episode).
There’s no deeper meaning there.
It was pretty much that.
With maybe a 10th of the malice Blue Blood incident had. They’re barely comparable. Cherry picking surface details is not the way to go.
That’s literally what happens, though.

He acted like Blueblood being self absorbed with himself while on a date with Rarity and Rarity literally said that she doesn’t like him and ditched him in that episode.
