Fighting Is Magic would only be illegal if it was sold for money. As is, it’s a work of parody and protected under fair use policy of the DMCA. Never mind the fact that it’s a fangame made by a small internet community for a small internet community. It’s not a thing that’s going to see large mainstream market. Ever. Nor is it infringing on any consumer demographic Hasbro already have because it’s a product completely radically different from all of Hasbro’s official MLP merchandize.

I’m kinda sad that Fighting is Magic got C&D:d, but it really does not surprise me. Companies like Hasbro don’t usually give a damn about fanart or fanfic or typical fan projects, because most of those never finish, but “Fighting is Magic” was getting too big and gathering too much attention. They pretty much had to squash it, or risk trouble with their trademarks.

You people are assholes.

Pokehidden gets chronic bouts of unstable emotions - depression usually. Give him a couple of weeks and we’ll see what’s really changed.
 
I doubt this is some kind of publicity stunt anyway, it’s only drawing attention to how mad he is.

I’ve been jaded since Season 3 started. I can’t believe I’m still here. Maybe to observe how things fall apart?

Half of the fandom says fight. How, with what? Hate mail, death threats, petitions. By now, Hasbro has gotten a bunch of hate emails over the Fighting is Magic thing. Do you really think they are going to let it slide. Mane6 was in negotiation with them. The overflow of hate is going against that. Should have let it go, should have let Mane6 see what they could have gotten. But no. We are our own worst enemy.

Some things are just not worth fighting agaisnt.
