Have to disagree about AJ’s parents. For the rest, dead parents is unnecessary tragedy, but for AJ, dead parents have actual meaning; the farm is their legacy, which gives it a special meaning to her and makes their deaths the point in her life when she had to grow up and face her own destiny. She has a loving and happy family anyway; there’s been plenty of time for them all to come to terms with it.
 
None of the other characters have that. For Rainbow Dash (or Fluttershy, or ESPECIALLY Scootaloo) dead parents would just be dumb, dark-for-the-sake-of-dark bullshit.

Why do you want to kill every pony’s parents? At first Twilight was an orphan (before we saw her parents), then it were Fluttershy’s parents (either with a dead mother or mean parents so that she was kicked out), Scootaloo’s parents, Rainbow’s parents (now that we saw her father you want to kill her mother) and also Applejack’s parents (as long as the show doesn’t say that they’re dead, they still live in my headcanon)
 
In my headcanon the mane six and CMC all are having loving parents and a happy family.  
or don’t you want them to have a loving and caring family?
