“‘Aryanne?’ Well, that’s a name I’ve not heard in a while.”
Nazi horse realized she got the meaning of her buttmark wrong after seeing how much shitheads nazis are, and fled to the Shaolin Monastery to rediscover and reinvent herself for the better

Normally this might be true of most things, but buddhism has been accepting women as ordainees for several years. Typically admonition of women has been something that comes in later days from the surrounding culture wherever the sangha is with little to no backup from the dhamma-vinaya. There’s one passage that denigrates women, but this is less because it’s actually denigrating them and more that it’s been mistranslated from the actual Pali.
There’s a couple suttas floating around out there like the infamous blood bowl, but it’s bullshit exoteric with no backing in the vinaya.
Basically anyone should be able join and wear the yellow robe.
I know this is months old but the short answer is no.
The long answer is also no. Buddhist tradition takes race as essentially being false, where only the mind matters and the body is temporary and subject to death, age and disease like anyone else. As long as your mind is fit for dharma, you can join the sangha.
Never look too deep into anyone or anything you like. You will always be disappointed.
@Armagedonus
Specifically, fully ordained female monastics (nuns) are called bhikkhunī (Pali) or bhikṣuṇī (Sanskrit) in Buddhism. (Male monastics are called bhikkhus.) While woman are as capable capable of reaching nirvana as men:
… So he said to the Blessed One, “Lord, if a woman were to go forth from the home life into homelessness in the Dhamma & Vinaya made known by the Tathāgata, would she be able to realize the fruit of stream-entry, once-returning, non-returning, or arahantship?”
“Yes, Ānanda, she would.…”
… conservative perspectives consider their ordinations invalid.
See, now THAT is a good premise for a great story.
More importantly, can she Pierce the armour of a Ferdinand or blessed Catholic mail with her prayer beads and crystals? peacock king fyi
aka Kujaku Oh, fine fugging 80s series. Fuhrer Bradley makes a cameo, too!
Yeah, she was a bad Nazi because she hadn’t realized her cutie mark’s true meaning.
She’s trying hard!
It still looks tryharding.
Like if american moved to Japan to “stduy the blade” and he ended up looking like a samurai without armor (down to that stupid “bald with topknot” haircut)
Isn’t that part of traditional appearance for any monks?
I was talking about about her looking like stereotypical tibetan, down to “dots on forehead”.
You can’t “appropriate” ideas anymore than you can own them, how the hell does that even work?
A friend of mine also made a better ending for Aryanne.
It exists but it isn’t necessarily a bad thing
Not to mention cultural appropriation is NOT a real thing…
Kirins?
Non Asians can be Buddhist. What would the pony version of Asian Countries even be called?
She is not asian after all…
