I’m not sure if you can call something “antique” if it was created just recently and then just brought into the future.  
It’s like rebuilding a “Ford T” in 2020 just like the way they were in 1920.

But… if you use time travel to skip all the years does it still technically count as an antique? I mean, it would basically be brand new just with an old style. What would be an appropriate term for that? Retro?

Especially considering, if anything, going by multiple episodes S7 onwards, it would usually be the opposite (things like Road to Friendship seem to be outnumbered by cases like All Bottled Up [Trixie suggesting memory wiping at the end, Starlight declining], or A Horse Shoe-In, arguably Student Counsel too, where Trixie seemed more blasé).

Okay, one way to go about doing this, while ensuring the item in question becomes a genuine antique, is to go back, acquire it, then store it someplace that history shows will be safe, then return to the present and pick it up. Time in storage means it still becomes an antique, just one that is really well kept and preserved. It’s a few extra steps, but it has the advantage of holding up to scholarly scrutiny.
