To be clear, the site owners do not flippantly assign and revoke moderator status. Being that us mods are friendly with each other and considering the high workload for a team of 9, it would be a very hard decision to make to revoke status. In the least, a range of factors would have been considered using an objective rationale.

I would honestly love to be able to have done just that. Unfortunately the last time I added a tag to the default list (the Foalcon tag), people raged at me for days.
 
Yes, people got angrier that I spoilered underage porn by default than because of this.

Even as I typed that long post about people trying to swarm with them, i do wonder.
 
Would a simpler solution to be to have the “Thanks Ma Larson” tag filtered out by default (and by that I mean the images won’t appear if you dont turn them off,because getting 50 thank you ma larson buttons in a row isnt much better), thus those who can enjoy the joke can still have it without bothering the rest of us. Though if your not willing to program that in to support a small minority I understand.

If they’re okay, then why did you merge the old ones? Again, IMO, I dont think the comments section is the correct place to dump images, so I dont find any of this as good solution.
 
Uploading one at a time is ok, but dumping comments full of images just looks messy.
 
Im not trying to stick it to the man here. I just dont agree with this. I made the “put down” comment. It was unclear then if you were acting against the other mods believe and people suspected your account was hacked.

I still don’t understand a single, somewhat negative joking comment regarding a single image (not even the artist, just the image!) is so horribly wrong that it required to remove ColgateFiM’s mod status in an instant, but when SmilingPony directly insulted an OP by saying “Go eat a bag of dicks” it was perfectly fine.

You should also mention that these gifs are just JOKES because some morons just don’t get it and think that someone blames M. A. Larson for the alicorn (I guess that some people do, but these gifas are a parody). These gifs are HILARIOUS and, as you can see, even M. A. Larson likes them.

To those complaining about him doing this, do you think we enjoyed these being endlessly zerg rushed?
 
Is it really nessecary to fill pages with what is basically the same joke repeated ad nausem?
 
I’ll be surprised if their are many people who actually still found this funny round the 4th or 5th time never mind the 20th odd pic or whatever.
 
 
Also is this “joke” funnier when it fills pages or something? Cause for most of us, its just tiresome.
 
If The smiling pony hadn’t stepped in, I bet we’d have pages and pages of repetitive images and gifs. You almost have enough of these to make a “Thanks Ma Larson” booru, and its pointless to complain here, because I don’t think Hasbro actually pays attention to Derpibooru.

Like I’ve said repeatedly and you keep ignoring either out of poor reading comprehension or intentionally to give yourself the impression of the Hero of the Oppressed, the images are fine if posted normally in moderation. If you want to dump a load of them at once, then keep it as comments.

I had a problem of you making judgement too hastely at first, but now Im questioning your method to compromise with this.
 
Either allow it or dont. Creating contamination section within the comments is not a good solution in long run.

As I’ve said since the beginning of all this, posting them is fine, dumping them in one thread is fine, upload spam of them is not. I made this post so that people could have easier access to them, seeing as they were “buried in the comments”.
 
And I don’t think the one calling for “the other mods to put me down” and complaining at every opportunity about me should be the one accusing me of a “tantrum”.
