Either they’re just randomly putting on a play and the title isn’t meant to be provocative and is just a reference to a famous play, or Pinkie Pie straight up uses a potion of undeath to bring a pony back from the dead, who turns out to be a salespony.

I’m more curious what connection “Death of a Salesman” has. It seems like a monumentally depressing theme for a kids shows about candy coloured horses.  
And, if its JUST about a salespony, then its questionable titling.
