Well, explaining a joke usually kills it, but here we go:
 
People love to speculate on Skyla’s parents. First it was Cadance and Shining Armor. Then Twilight became a princess and folks wondered if she and Blueblood might hook up and produce a foal. Then came Flash Sentry and there have been a few posts saying Skyla might be the beam from FlashLight.
 
So now here’s another crazy and improbable idea that seems tongue-in-cheek and poking fun at all the theories people keep producing. Try to enjoy the absurdity and the piece makes for a good chuckle.

Yeah, this is a funny idea. I don’t understand why folks can’t just laugh at the concept.

I think it’s funny.

The only merit to this is that Blueblood is angsty over not getting the fancy alicorn genes (probably female specific) and Trixie never experienced any sort of success. With their offspring being a magical alicorn princess, you know they’d be good parents striving to provide her with the life and success neither of them got to experience.
