Can’t remember much about ancient Egyptian, but I do not that it’s written in vertical columns. This looks like it’s done left to right.

I just realized that’s a unicorn smiley.
The Egyptians hieroglyphs were meant to symbolize common things the people would see and be easy to understand. Like birds, wheat, bowls, snakes, and so on. This was so when they used the symbols to construct words, the explanation of the word was derived from the meaning of the combined symbols. This is why they said their words had the magical property to instantly transmit the information of said word just by its utterance. Like casting a spell of knowledge, which is also why the word: spelling has to do with magic and the creation of words. ^;)
I mean she and Celestia are apparently conversing in Egyptian no problem, so she must’ve done some research.
