Meet Meg Spangles :3
 
She is a stage performer and magician, who is able to use magic via a powerful magic wand :3
 
As a filly, she always dreamed of being able to preform magic and put on magic shows, but she was not able to, as she was an earth pony, and thus unable to preform any magic spells. She learned how to do slight of hoof tricks, but that was nothing compared to actual magic.
 
One day, she ended up buying a magic wand that she thought was a toy, in order to amuse herself. But, much to her shock, this wand could actually do REAL magic! Overwhelmed and excited by this, she spent nearly all her time with it, trying to practice it and learn how tis wand works.
 
As of today, she is now currently a successful magician at Las Pegasus, bringing in tons of ponies to see an earth pony attempt real magic. Although a sweet girl most of the time, the wand has given her a bit of an ego boost and she can come across as being a bit full of herself, especially towards other unicorns.
