This is the last known photo of Rainbow Dash, recovered from her smartphone’s SD card, with a date stamp corresponding to the day of her disappearance.
 
Searche and Rescue officers failed to find any trace of her during search, which was cut short by the arrival of an unusually severe winter storm system for the location and time of year, and she was declared missing and presumed dead three months after her disappearance. Two years after the search was abandoned, a pair of hikers discovered a pair of rainbow-colored sneakers sitting beneath a sitka spruce on top of a neatly-folded pair of pants with her smartphone in one pocket. The clothing was described as being in “pristine condition,” which is odd in and of itself, considering they should have been badly degraded by exposure to the elements, and while the battery of the phone was low, it was not completely discharged. Nor is it understood who folded the clothing or why. It is perhaps noteworthy that on the night before the clothing was discovered, brightly colored lights were seen moving deep in the forest. Local witnessed also claim to have seen the same sort of ghostly “spook lights” moving about the forest and mountains on the night of Rainbow Dash’s disappearance, coupled with strange sounds and the smell of hot metal. Their connection to the incident, if there even is one, is wholly unknown.
 
The case is still open. No futher trace of Rainbow Dash has ever been found.
