If you mean “anti-hero,” like what Deadpool, Wolverine, Shadow the Hedgehog, Wario, ect. are, then to be frank, that’s not what Cozy is at all. Her actions were downright villainous, and for own gain, she’s done nothing slightly heroic like an “anti-hero” would. You don’t seem to understand the term, no offense.
Update 1:
Ah, incorrect, Beau Skunky—, Anti-H.
Update 1:
Ah, incorrect, Beau Skunky—, Anti-H Gloweroine Glow .
Ah, incorrect, Beau Skunky–, Anti-Heroine
It is.
in fact I believe the reason why he was not the villain was because as far as g4 is concerned he’s a new guy using him would be no difference to a New villain
Yeah, while I was previously a li’l disapointed with Groger, looking back if he was real and was the “final boss,” he would’ve just been another boring generic doomsday villain, or another Thanos, and he’d bring nothing new to the series that previous villains haven’t already done.
The villainous trio were more well known, and more popular with fans… Perhaps too popular with some.
it’s still kinda bothers me how people generally thought they were building up grogar to be the final boss of the show maybe in the first episode I guess they kinda were.but when you get to frenemies they made it pretty clear he wasn’t with Chrysalis flat out saying they were going to make their own plan and we also never actually saw him preparing for the plan

I thought it was kinda clever/unexpected/comical, but apparently, because fans are being a li’l too sympathetic to her, just out of her being a child, they should’ve made her secretly a midget, or something instead. Then there’d probably be no drama over the finale. (Well, aside from a few other certain things…)
I think it could be pulled of in the comics or something of a smaller scale could have easily been done in a single season.
Because Frenemies brought some genuenly good bonding between them and showed the trio in what many consider to be a likeable light. The fact that they almost learn the lesson of the day shows that they could potentially learn it with help. If they were truly evil they wouldn’t have come close to that realization and Chrysalis would never have had to snap them out of it. Weather or not we are looking too deeply into it, it did happen and it should be noted. Before Discord got his second chance I couldn’t see him as anything other then a malichious chaos spirit who would only use his magic for evil.
Sure, they are villains, but so was Discord. When you compare how the heroes treated him, Starlight, Tempest and even Stygian we can see some huge discrepency between them and the trio, who were either given one weak attempt to convince them to change or in the literal child’s case, none at all.
I don’t know, considering this is the last season, they didn’t really have time to do all of that.
And honestly, I really don’t understand why you guys keep insisting “Frenemies” shows they were somehow destined or should be reformed, as honestly that moment where they almost learn the lesson of the day, but brush it off comically honestly came off as more of a joke to me, rather then any kinda hint that they have good in them. (I think you guys are looking too deeply into that, no offense.) I honestly can’t see somebody like Tirek suddenly making nice with the ponies, and having tea with them, and such.
I dunno, I just kinda accept the villainous trio the way they are, and were meant to be, as villains. But that’s just my opinion.

There can be plenty.
Say for example, they could have the Student Six act as her Fluttershy equivalent. This way she can start off as someone who tries to annoy them, hinder their schoolwork, give bad advice or cause the occasional lighter mischief. Kind of like their personal Diamond Tiara. Gradually, she could grow to be less of a villain and maybe start helping them. Considering that the students are in many ways almost like the successors to the Main 6 giving them a reformed villain like Discord and Starlight could not only give them more prestige as heroes but could also give them a Spike equivalent should she reform that far. Thats three potential roles she could fill for six characters not to mention all the other relationships she could get.
There can be many more examples like that with some being an exploration of her backstory, which was something many people wanted to know, giving her closure with the CMC, maybe having Diamond help her which could be a great way to do something with her or even give have the map give a friendship problem to solve. That would be genuenly hillarious. The fact that you have this backstoryless supervillain who’s also a filly can have so much potential.
Not to mention that many people consider Frenemies to be an almost reformation for them. Imagine her starting to reform from a source not planned out or intended by Twilight or whoever is setting out to reform her forcing them to accept that outside source as viable. It could be an interesting twist.
In the last episode timeskip they could give her an interesting future as well. It would be a very small but nice addition.
Besides all this, it would give the whole thing a sense of fairness and could potentially be a very heartwarming process. It could also give Cozy a chance to interact with others in a completely different way. Given her personality it could lead to a lot of fun scenes if Frenemies was anything to go by.
What potential did she have though? She probably wouldn’t of been any different then most of the other characters whom were reformed.
Heck, some like Diamond Tiara & Tempest we never even hardly saw sense they reformed.

But as I said, they didn’t at first. Sure, Discord felt remorse for his actions, but only after Celestia gave him a second chance which was something Cozy never got. Do you honestly believe that past Discord would have ever changed without help? How can Cozy start feeling remorse if no one tries to reform her? And Starlight did try to attack two of her villiagers. Also, Cozy never killed anyone. Neither did Tirek for that matter.
Discord and Starlight only stopped being bad because Celestia and Twilight decided to give them a second chance and try to reform them. In contrast, Twilight or anyone else for that matter never attempted to reform or offer to reform Cozy. They almost immedietly sent her to Tartarus. Its so wierd that the two powerfull adults get all these chances and help while the child gets nothing.
And yea, they looked like they could have severely harmed her, but really, how much bodily harm did the trio commit? Literally no one died in the finale. An again, Starlight tried to blast two of her villaigers so she wasn’t exactly harmless either.
I know its pontless but its so damn frustrating. It feels like Cozy really got the short end of the stick and the writers really missed a huge potential with her. I can’t stop myself from looking deeper into this and the more I look the more it paints the heroes in a bad light. At least we have fanfics, but still.
Well, it doesn’t exactly play Discord up as a “hero.” It’s honestly not as bad as it sounds, and there’s more to it then that. That’s why it’s better to avoid spoilers, so you can get the whole picture, rather then just things you don’t like.
I kinda prefer Chrissy as a villain honestly, no offense.
All I know is turning a child to stone AND not reforming Queen Chrysalis, AND playing Discord up like a hero is sure gonna make it hard to get me to actually watch the finale. I know I have a close friend who seems to be fixated on my getting caught up on the series, but when the ending pulls stuff like this, I fear I’ll never want to watch it.
I already pointed out contrary to your statements that Discord & Starlight did feel remorse eventually, and they probably aren’t quite “Tirek/Chrysalis/Sombra/Storm” level of evil, even if they did some crappy things, and as I already pointed out, they never killed anyone.
Cozy, as much as I like her, never showed any, after all the time she had. If Starlight or Discord continued being as bad as the villainous trio, they probably would’ve been stoned, or something too.
When she, Chrissy, and Tirek ganged up on Twilight, it looked like they could’ve severely harmed her, so they aren’t exactly harmless either.
I don’t know, as I said debating or complaining isn’t going to change what happened in the finale.
In the end, I’m not that upset about the finale, but I can understand why some are upset about Cozy’s fate. I like Cozy, but I can accept her as a villain.
Discord and Starlight also had plenty of time to think on their own after their defeats yet they didn’t learn their lessons then.
Yet, she still came back for revenge and Twilight was still trying to get through to her before then. Something Cozy still never got.
Discord didn’t seem to feel any guilt for his actions when he escaped from his prison and neither when he was released for reformation. And despite all that he still only turned his back on Tirek after gleefully helping him drain all that magic and only after he himself was betrayed by him.
As stated before, neither Starlight nor Discord showed any remorse at first. Also, while Cozy did talk about wanting to destroy the Main 6 (I think) she never actually killed anyone. When she attacked the castle she only teleported some guards into a lake and knocked out the rest. Even her attack agains Fluttershy only served to knock her on the ground with seemingly no injuries. Starlight meanwhile, tried blasting two of her villaigers after her first defeat forcing Twilight to save them and Discord didn’t seem to care how ponies could be harmed in his chaotic rampage. Even during the plunder vine incident he only helped a random pony who got caught by them right next to them after Fluttershy arrived.
Sombra and Storm King at least fell in the middle of combat. Cozy meanwhile is a child who was stuck under a giant cupcake utterly powerless and before that easily held down by two guards. The problem is Discord’s words after the petrification. “Together forever” implies that their not planning on ever letting her or the trio as a whole out.
Well, she had plenty of time to consider her actions in a prison cell in Tataurus, you forget. She still didn’t learn her lesson.
When Starlight realized she almost destroyed the timeline, (which wasn’t her goal, she just wanted revenge on Twilight, and didn’t understand the “Butterfly Effect”) she turned herself in to the Mane 6, and even stated she was willing to accept whatever punishment they give her, so they showed her mercy.
As for Discord, his friendship with Fluttershy, and being betrayed by Tirek made him realize how much he hurt his friends. He was upset by it, when Twilight demanded Tirek release him too, Discord had a, “I don’t deserve mercy” look on his face, and showed genuine gratitude.
Cozy meanwhile, showed no remorse for anything she ever did, I’m sorry to say, and the final episodes kinda implied deep down, she might be just as bad as Tirek & Chrysalis. (Like when she absorbed Discord’s power, the result wasn’t pretty.)
And unlike those two, Cozy actually tried to kill the Mane 6. >>2308693 Starlight & Discord only wanted to disable their opponents, back when they were bad. Starlight only wanted revenge, she didn’t wanna turn Equestria into a wasteland. Discord did bad things, but nothing proves he ever killed anyone, and given how he liked to troll ponies, rather then harm them, he probably didn’t like to kill, (the IDW comic even shows he was against that) and after all, you can’t troll corpses.
Now I’m not saying she deserves the death penalty, but perhaps petrification is a lighter punishment then what Sombra, and the Storm King got debatably. That said, I wouldn’t be against the idea of her reforming if she ever got out.
Edited
Starlight didn’t feel and remorse after her first defeat either and neither did Discord. Again, they had to work on them to get them to the point of feeling remorse which is something Cozy wasn’t even offered let alone got.
Guess I’ll just have to hold on to the miniscule hope that the s10 comics will do her more justice, although I don’t think that will happen.
Yep
Not helping.
