Hmm. Campbell’s autobiography suggested that hour television wasn’t something he was willing to do for any length of time. It might be a combination of both.
Really? Everything I’ve read about the show says it got canned because FOX was too dumb to take it out of the Friday Night “death slot” for shows and put it somewhere when people would watch.
Also, it wasn’t cancelled. Campbell hated doing hour-long tv, so it was always meant to end when the story wrapped up.
