Description

My old mouse died so I did some research and ended up trying a Razer. They have a good reputation for quality, but looks like I lose. The mouse is fine (pretty cool actually), but apparently you have to sign up for a Razer account and be ONLINE any time you want to make settings changes. Holy crap I was enraged (still am). How any company can think it’s ok to force people into their little online community just to buy hardware like a mouse is beyond me. It’s madness.

I made the changes I wanted then blocked the software from the Internet, but I”ll have to undo my security every time I want to change a setting. Razer… are you kidding me? I sure as heck won’t be jumping to buy any more products from them. The last thing I need is to have to worry about whether my Internet is strong to use my basic computer peripherals.

i didn’t know you had to be always online to use their software. i once had a keyboard from them, i really liked it and its microswitch goodness (even had an audio and usb port built into it) unfortunately, when i decided to pull the keys off and clean it, the space bar quit working and never worked again. so sadly i had to throw it out
