She could sell her pets just like Rarity sell her clothes. She do it freely exceptionally for Rainbow Dash just like Rarity created the gala dress for her friends for free but sell them for everyone else.

I’m also in support of the ranger suggestion. It fits in with the less autonomous nature of Equestria’s ecosystem and lines up nicely with Winter Wrap Up where we see her going about waking up the various animals who hibernate through winter.

I like the ranger suggestion: she’s responsible for the local wild flora and fauna and receives a small stipend from the the government for maintaining the ecosystem (evidently Equestria is a country on an artificial satellite, and the wild must needs be maintained).
 
Headcanon states she makes ends meet by writing numerous halter-ripping pony romance novels, lounging back in her front room and dictating them via Angel.

2 her parents are loaded and provide her with a small monthly allowance  
3 she is paid by the town to provide care for the wild animals  
4 same as 3 but through private donations  
5 she lives on top of a gold mine  
6 she sued somepony and won massive amounts of money  
all just some crazy theory’s i came up with

She gets paid to take care of the critters. She’s like a ranger. She also takes various part time jobs and made some lucrative money in her brief stint as a model.
