I admit I’ve overreacted a bit from the “drama.” Still, I anticipate the finale to point neighsayers in the right direction rather than the direction they’re currently facing now.

The main problem is that it’s DeviantArt, an even filthier breeding ground for self-importance and the drama that accompanies it than Tumblr. The other is that the series has actually pretty much been on the upswing since Sega and Sonic Team finally realized that trying to control Sonic in full 3D is like trying to control a derailed bullet train by pulling on two pieces of twine taped to each side.

I’ve noticed the volume of votes going down in general. I’m wondering if folks are just starting to block drama tags.
 
There were a lot of funny responses to the drama yesterday, but now it’s just feeling old and tired.

Yeah, in fact alot of the people working on the officially-licensed Sonic Archie comic now were big Sonic fans in their youth, (and still are in some ways)  
Yet some Sonic fans are attacking them, bashing them, or spreading nasty rumors about them all over DA.
 
Like some were trying to say writer Ian Flynn “hates” the old Sonic SatA.M. cartoon, even though he said he DOES like it, and puts references/in-jokes to it, as well…  
(I really don’t understand some Sonic fan logic.)

Kind of funny that they would harass comic writers, though, since as I understand it, half of them are huge Sonic nerds anyways.

I read a few Sonic fans saying crap like that on DeviantArt, (they also harrass the people who work on the Sonic comics sometimes) and there was also a Sonic fan on Encyclopedia Dramatica trying to rally Sonic fans against Sega, as well. (Only he was failing at gaining supporters for his anti-Sega crusade.)
 
Obviously, they aren’t going to get anywhere, and frankly,  
I’d rather Sega make another Sonic’06 game, then put the Sonic franchise in the hands of one of those Sonic fanbrats…
 
Though, don’t get me wrong, I’ve met some cool Sonic fans to, of course. Not trying to generalize all of them.

Indeed, also note all the negetive/whiny images get mostly “neigh” downvotes. So it seems most bronies/fans don’t support the drama-angst.

Not gonna deny that the Sonic fandom is plenty crazy, but do you have some source? Because that sounds crazy, even for them.
 
But at least it’s craziness built upon a gross misunderstanding of how corporations work, and not built upon a gross misunderstanding about how human beings work, like the shit Hetalia fans have pulled.

According to the mods, most of the angry posting was done from a small number of IP addresses, which indicates the complainers are just a vocal minority. A VERY vocal minority here on Derpibooru, considering the amount of complaining they’ve done on this site.

Yeah, I think honestly Sonic fans are much worse. There are actually some Sonic fans trying to rally others against Sega, and think they can force them to give Sonic to a “better” game company, or force Sega to make the Sonic series only how they want it to be. (Yeah, right. Like that’ll ever happen.)
