i mean, in the dawnguard you needed do a specific ritual to not become blind
tho, if i recall correctly, reading a elder scroll doesnt make you inmediatly blind, your eyesight worsens with every read until one becomes blind
Being the Dragonborn is an appropriate enough reason for not going blind, it should be noted; you probably were meant to read those Scroll(s), after all, destiny willing it. (in other words, plot armor is probably kinda justified in that case)
