Actually it’s pretty hilarious, more so than I even thought. I thought I just had bronchitis but I was officially diagnosed with this particular coronovirus. And uh, it’s really not that bad. Like, at all. I’m already mostly over it.

What? C’mon, this virus thing right now is a serious issue and unfunny.

Far more than 100k, actually. You can never trust the numbers coming from China, considering they waited so long before they took any action. Also, 15 cities surrounding Wuhan that have been quarantined contains approximately 51 million people. Even the CDC is hiding the true results, they removed public data. Also, which new sites? I’ve had to go to alternate sources to see any real discussion.
 
The difference is we reacted far more quickly with those than this. There are likely hundreds of not thousands of people who are infected and have no idea. The situation in Wuhan is so bad the hospitals can’t even handle the traffic and are telling people to self quarantine at home. Cities in Beijing, where no quarantine has been enacted, are completely empty. Major 6+ million cities have shut down.
 
Also, I just correct my last comment: the coronavirus can survive on surfaces for up to 9 DAYS, not hours.

First off this whole hysteria over Covid-19 is ridiculous. About 100k people have been infected. Almost 50k of them have made FULL recoveries and have been discharged. 41k have mild symptoms and are expected to make full recoveries. 7k are considered serious. Total death rate around the globe is 3k. the virus has already been sequenced and its full RNA has been made available to any medical facility or group around the world. Lastly around 18-40k people have died from the seasonal flu. That right there tells you which is more deadly to your health. Hell you probably have more of a chance to be hit by a car or flying object than to die from covid-19. It’s just fear mongering and media spreading bullshit to scare people.
 
Lets also remember the sizes of the population we are talking about here. China? USA? Any major country… People really need to stop listening to the fear mongering. Take care of yourself like any other illness. It’s not hard. Common sense and responsibility is all. Remember Avian flu? Swine Flu? What happened then? Seem familiar?

SARS is more lethal by about four times. And MERS is more lethal than the Novel Coronavirus by a bigger margin than the 1000% increase described in the picture.

But the fact it can spread so easily is something to be concerned about. The virus can survive up to nine hours on surface and may be airborne. There was actually a case in South Korea where one woman infected about 40 people without knowing she was ill. And the kicker is, she didn’t even travel abroad. Someone else gave to her. Consider the black plague and how that ended, and how connected out world is and how easy it is to get from one country to another. Also, even if you do survive being infected, you CAN be reinfected.

Ah the panic over this particular virus is hilarious. Going to the grocery store and finding all the hand soap (just the liquid stuff mind), hand sanitizer, masks, sanitizing spray, and bottled water gone is friggen hysterical. Annoying in the case of the soap since I needed a big refill thing but everything else was just funny. Especially the bottled water because the entire massive shelf of water was completely empty.

As a Chinese I still suffering from coronavirus😂😂😂

Give it time ? I mean coronavirus show no signs for almost a month or something and it that time you spread that virus to other people so that why some people take that problem serious, how do you want to deal with a disease that shows no signs for so long ?

Pretty sure they were already diseases more deadly than the coronavirus
