It just seems to me like shes nudging them into accepting her authority which, while obviously not the intention, is a little disconcerting.
The dogmatic support and paranoid behavior present on both sides is doing more damage than the situation itself, which is just objectively bad. The writers may be able to pull it off, but despite what everyone says the team isn’t Shakespeare. They’re above average at best.
Im going to stick to my original prediction that the show will take two seasons for the fandom to lose 50% of the audience it had at the beginning of the descent which I am marking as season three.
Either way, this is still a drop in quality for a lot of people and the hypocrisy of the supports who have individually moved over to the other side of the argument is aggravating, while the lack of respect on the supporting side is disappointing.
I can’t say much for whats going to happen on Saturday, but the fandom is becoming increasingly hard to relate to and Im not sure if anythings even good enough to retain my attention. Not to say its bad, but I didn’t join this group for average quality.
Not like it really matters anyway, just another example of the human condition.
I don’t like it because it’s one of the biggest fandom cliches ever, right there with evil Celestia, only difference is that only one of them has to derail a character to make it work.
Still, many people have given possibilities as to how this could work, such as the alicorn form being a Super Saiyan-like transformation, being torn from her duties and her friends, and my favorite, flying lessons from Rainbow Dash.
Am I disappointed they went this route? Yes, but I have faith that the writers can turn an overused fandom cliche into something good.
Somebody help me tame this animal I have become
That all those other ponies are objectively inferior to Twilight, otherwise they’d “ascend” too.
It’s tragic, those born earth ponies or pegasi who’ve lived all their lives, working on part of what makes them them, should find those special parts of themselves mirrored or often bested (poor Scootaloo) by another who has never spent a day in her life trying.
I’ve seen the comic. Still callin’ bullshit on it good sir.
And probably one all the whiners need to see.
