LoL It might not be what you think! It brilliantly uses blatant racism to illustrate how backward, uneducated, stupid, etc. the people are who are being racist against the protagonist (a black sheriff of the Old West), and eventually, the good townspeople come around, and accept him as their hero. Honestly, IMO, it’s a very strong anti-racism film.

Oh my god! I’d have an aneurysm in the first few minutes.
It’s a great Mel Brooks comedy, but also contains a shitload of racial slurs, including the one you “mentioned,” in the first minute of the film (after the opening credits). Every time I read/hear that particular slur, Blazing Saddles is the first thing that springs to mind.
