This literally happened for me this past Valentine's. My financee reserved for us to go to a fondue restaurant two hours away, we got there, and it turned out they overbooked. While driving around trying to find a place that wasn't full until closing, we got a reservation at Outback with a 90-minute wait. We were plenty hungry already, so we grabbed a snack at McDonald's while we waited.
