Argument? You’re sorry? People just discussed and debated your art on a political topic you wanted to bring attention to. Isn’t this a success? Sure the message failed because of the oversight on the characters used, but I still see this comment section and see people taking the issue seriously. In my book that is the art doing it’s job. Also, nice art!

Don’t be sorry, some people will get your art, others won’t. I like that you try and use metaphor and that it is an expression that can’t be consolidate into words. Some people just take things way too literally, real art is abstract and amorphous. So don’t apologize, you can draw squares and circles and given enough time people will find a means to bicker about it. Just keep doing you.

Sorry if we came off sounding offended, I think we were a bit confused, also putting anything political into a popular IP is going to get people opinionated. Sorry about that. still, art wise, you did really good, and I love to see more of what you do, just stay away from political messaging, even if you get the message right, you’re going to get people opinionated.

Oh I never would accuse you of wanting to offend or hurt anybody. In all honesty I do love the overall drawing, the background and character designs are wonderfully done.

I don’t think there’s anything that could be construed as offensive with your drawing, but sure, I agree that whatever message you were trying to convey did get confused by the context of the artwork. I’m not personally aware of any real-world events this might be harkening to, so I have to take it at face value and try to figure out why Little Pip would mourn a symbol that has never been controversial in pony-land. There’s potential for powerful imagery here, but it’s unclear what we should be associating it with to make it punch.
 
Still, not the end of the world that this one didn’t land properly. Live and learn!

I just.. had something to say, I guess, at the time when I drew this. And I decided to use Pip and the Fallout Equestrian world to tell it. A decision that I now realize was probably really dumb and way more confusing than it had any right to be. Nobody even really got it anyway, so whatever. But I’m sorry I’ve irritated people so much, and provoked this long of an argument. I’m sorry for being stupid and for trying to start things. I uh, guess I didn’t really know what I expected. Just know that I never meant to hurt anyone by any of this.

agree, I think the problem is pip being all sad about it, if she was like “I know what this is, nice!” ad attached it to her saddlebag, I think it would urk everyone less. But by pushing this as a big old tragity, in a world were everything got blown to ruins, it’s kind of place, and clearly political, we alredy know pips gay, and we all love her for it and everything else that is pip.

Considering that a lot of stories involve raiders and rape at times? I wouldn’t put it past a couple of Raiders finding an encampment of mares who were lesbians and torching it as they took in new slaves.
