What people don’t understand was that even though ME and Vista were huge sales flops they pretty much shaped the two best OS’s of all time: Windows XP and Windows 7.

Only the colorful logo was good.

Windows Vista was rushed. It wasn’t tested properly. I’ve never had anything with Windows ME, but I’d say it was too dated for a 21st century teen.

I had a Vista Laptop that ran it more or less on 2Gbs of RAM having up’ed that to 4Gbs. Vista just flew on it. it had a C2D @ 1.6Ghz IIRC. Sadly the ATI Graphic kicked and I haven’t bothered with it since,

I once had a HP PC running Windows Me. It crashed at least once a week, and every time some data would become corrupted. Not even Windows 98 corrupt data so often. It’s awfully unreliable. After 4 years I upgraded it to Windows XP, and the improvement was dramatic without even any hardware upgrade. I still have the rescue disk with Me lying around in my wardrobe.

Vista was still worse. The ME we got after our old ‘95 conked out lasted a good while for my parents, finally replacing it with Windows 7 after its harddrive kicked. The Vista they got my grandmother to give her card games to play couldn’t even do THAT without crashing. I WISH I WAS KIDDING, ITS TOO STUPID TO MAKE UP. We went through TWO UNITS with the same problem and I still had to go in and deactivate a bunch of crap on a whim so that it would only not-crash SOMETIMES during a game of Hearts.

And ya know what..  
I’d just assume run Me then Windows 8.  
But, then again I find that Android, and Debian seem to get the job done.

Okay, now THIS I can understand. ME was just awful.

Actually, I was just using a ME computer the other day and it’s really not that bad as long as you have good hardware.

Can’t tell if 1kbabs is winget or failget. ¬_¬

I don’t think even 3.1 crashed as often as ME did. It had too much crap running on top of the ancient 16/32 -bit hybrid 9x kernel. Plus the drivers were crap, causing extreme instability.

Goddammit, Microsoft…
