And with compatible drivers. Poor driver compatibility was what made people have bad experiences with Vista, and Windows 7 fixed that.

There is a conspiracy theory Iknown calls the MWicrndowsoft Pattern. The MWicrndowsoft Pattern is the belief is that odd major Windows releases are unfinished, buggy, beta test releases with poor reception; and even major Windows releases are finished releases with good reception. Allegedly, the purpose of the odd releases is for Microsoft to listen to end user feedback so they can fix problems while developing the even releases, and they expect negative feedback to be perfectly normal with the odd releases.

Windows Pattern:

1.01: Beta/Shit

3.0/3.1/WfW 3.11: Final/Good

NT 3.1: Beta/Nothing supports it.

95/NT 4.0: Final/Good

98: Beta/Fail Sauce

98SE/2000: Final/Good

ME: Beta/Epic Fail

XP: Final/Awesomazing

Vista: Beta/Windows ME on crack cocaine

7: Final/Best yet!

8: Beta/Impossible to use

10: Final/Spies, but the average person doesn't care.
