“Flurry, you have the Crystal Empire. Is that not enough for you?”
 
“Oh please. Everypony knows the real seat of power is Canterlot. The Crystal Empire is nothing more than a shell of a nation. Why do you think my parents always consulted Aunt Twilight for everything? All sovereign lands look  
to her for leadership.”
 
“So that’s it. You want power.”
 
“I want the respect we deserve! Nopony gives a flying feather about the Crystal Empire. My entire family is just a laughing stock! All everypony talks about is how useless they were in the defense of Equestria. How it was always up to Princess Twilight and her friends who had to save the day! From Discord… King Sombra… Queen Chrysalis… from… me.”

“The worst part is that mom and dad don’t even seem to care! They don’t mind being pushed to the side… to be known as the OTHER Princess in Equestria. All they can talk about is Twilight this… Twilight that… Well I care.  
I was going to finally show everypony that we are just as capable, and just as worthwhile as Aunt Twilight and her friends. I was going to prove that we can do more than just be captured, and be the damsels in distress. I was going to inherit the throne of Friendship and make EVERYPONY SEE that we’re not just meaningless background characters. That is… until you took it away from me.”
 
“They don’t think of you that way! The Crystal Empire has always played a crucial role in Equestrian politics, defense, economics, you name it! Ponies love and respect you and your family, Flurry! I promise…”
