You know, I don’t really get the writer-specific hate the fandom shows sometimes. Sure, there are some bad episodes written by M. Williams, but there are also bad M.A. Larson episodes which don’t get nearly as much people mad about.  
Here we are, accusing a writer of being the worst of all after a single bad episode. If you don’t like one episode, fine, but is the writer-specific bashing really necessary to make your point? It kinda makes you look like an immature, generalizing douche.

Just got back and liked the ep a lot!
 
Upanon: C’Mon. Half the show is about a character making mistakes, then realizing a lesson. All the characters have their “crazy” buttons. For Twi it’s perfectionism…For Spike it’s greedyness. If you don’t like that I don’t know how you can like this show.

SAYS at least kept Spike as an honorable, noble guy, despite making him rock headedly stupid. This episode made him stupid AND a lazy glutton. Would the lazy idiot calling itself Spike in this episode have stuck by Twilight during the search for the Crystal Heart, espically when he could have been off snacking on crystals?
 
Like I said, SAYS is only marginally better, but it’s still an improvement.

I agree 100%, the good thing is that if we got PeeWee reunited with his parents, which was something that a lot of bronies had had a problem with. Maybe the same will be with MMDW in some way.  
Then we’ll all be cool with Williams.

I’m sorry but anyone who liked SayS better than this has a wrong opinion. Don’t bother telling me the definition of an opinion. It’s wrong. SayS was ooc for Spike the whole way through. Say what you want about this episode… at least he was in character.

And you know what? This episode isn’t going to get a fraction of MDW’s hate, because while it did basically everything MDW did, it did it to Spike. And everyone, in universe and out, hates Spike.

Oh but it came full circle to me. I hate it all might but at the same time it’s the best episode for a parody, something like an “Abridged script” or “Rifftrax”. :)

Everyone with any sort of taste despises that episode. Way to support your friend, you horrible little bitches.
 
Merriweather redeemed herself with Wonderbolt Academy, but it isn’t a bad idea to be wary of any episode with her name on it.

First of all, worst episode ever is “Dragon Quest.” I said “Spike at your Service” was a little better then this, because while it wiped out Spike’s skill set and intelligence for a canned, boring story, some of the jokes were pretty funny and it ended on a somewhat upbeat note.
 
This episode had no funny jokes, rampant douchbaggery from previously kind hearted characters, total hypocrisy when compared to the last episode, and a ending that kicks you in the balls and spits on everything Friendship is Magic is supposed to stand for.

You have a point there. But again, he didn’t necessarily lose in the end. The ponies thank him for his good job with the pets, doesn’t get into trouble for what he did.
 
And as for Discord, he was imprisoned in stone, and was aware of it. I think that is punishment enough don’t you think. At least spike didn’t get caught by the ponies, and scolded. And he can find, or get more gems later.

Maybe but I overall I think it’s easier to find an asshole here than on EQD. But yeah, there’s more and more self-righteous pricks. Derpibooru is at least stable.
