The definition of a mary sue isn’t changing. What writers or the audience think is good personality traits is changing. Nowadays having anxiety attacks or social anxiety is seen as a “”“good thing”””. How anyone can believe the antisocial can be good people is beyond me.
Once you’ve lived and slept and eaten inside a psychiatric ward, you treat people with social anxiety like the outcasts they deserve to be.

Did he/she even watch season 1? The mane 6 argued with each other about who would go with Twilight to the gala in the 3rd episode of the show and has argued with each other almost throughout the season.

nobody should accept something as true if there’s no evidence of it, and you definitely shouldn’t think something is true just because there’s no evidence for the contrary. using “She didn’t say it therefore it’s possible” logic allows us to believe that Faust intended for trixie to be revealed as a ghost, because faust never said that trixie wasn’t a ghost.

But as you say the problems are superficial. They cut because it’s edgy, they act dramatic but suffer no actual emotional distress. Twilight Sparkle seems to have real problems as much as a kid’s show is allowed
also the same kind of obnoxious “original” characters you find on deviantart, the kind that are way more talented and important than they have any right to be, at the detriment of the world and story
